WW - Heuer Autavia retailed by Abercrombie & Fitch, Mark 1 ref 2446C, manual wind, 40mm x 48mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel snap back compressor case with round pump pushers and a bi-directional tachymeter bezel as well as angular faceted lugs, black leather strap, original black reverse panda dial with applied silver indices and the name Abercrombie and Fitch above the 6 o'clock register, three inset white subregisters for hour recording, minute recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 72, s#129917, triple signed. When one speaks about vintage Heuer, there can be no better secondary name on your dial than the likes of Abercrombie & Fitch, back when men were men and Abercrombie was the outfitter to many an expedition.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork; fine dial with ample even surface spotting and discoloration of luminous material, several small marks to subregisters; excellent hands with discoloration of luminous material and light loss of lume to hour hand; lightly polished case shows light wear, still retains sharp lug chamfers with caseback text still visible, numerous dings to the lug tops, sides and backs; crown shows little wear; good plastic crystal.
